Halloween 2009
Luka went to his first trunk or treat! There a bunch of cars are parked next to each other and the kids go from car to car to collect candy.

Grammy was there too:

October Update
So, it’s been a while. By now we are married and had a bunch of visitors here from near and far (Germany to be exact).
It was an absolute blast and we did a lot of fun things.
We will try to get all of the pics together and uploaded, but in the meantime here are a few pics to hold you all over.
First – Luka in his Deutschland jersey:

Lot’s has happened
A lot has happened since the last post. Sorry for not posting in a while but we actually moved and had out hands full with that.
Here is what you missed:
• Luka’s first tooth was spotted on 6/11. Now he has four! Two on the top and two on the bottom.
• He had is first swim in the pool, which he liked okay. We are thinking about swimming classes once we are settled into the new house.
• He went to his first firework show for 4th of July. He loved it! It didn’t scare him at all and he couldn’t get enough of the lights in the sky.
• He is eating a bunch of stuff now, including: mango, peaches, corn, blueberries and much more.
• We moved into our new home, which is just great and Luka really enjoys the extra room he has now – oh and the AC.
• Because he has the extra room he is crawling around like crazy now. Especially if he sees a cell phone, remote or cable.
• Just a few days ago he started pulling himself up from a crawling position to a stand. Once he does he is all excited and jumps up and down.
• Also a few days ago, he started to eat wheat-free cracker/cereal. He loves it and actually gets lucky sometimes and feeds himself.
Well, that is pretty much the last two months. Enjoy the below photos!

At the Zoo
Mommy has been reading this German book about a visit at the zoo to me. So I finally convinced mommy and daddy to take me to this zoo place.
I had a lot of fun. Nothing like sleeping while being pushed through the zoo.
Here are some pics:

Luka’s new sleeping schedule
Luka has been pretty good about sleeping at night for a while. We used to put him down at about 9 pm and he would sleep till about 3 am. At which time he got a bottle and a fresh diaper and went back to sleep till 6 am.
A few weeks ago we switch it up, since poor Joe had been staying up till 3 am to feed him. Thanks to our doctor we started putting Luka down to sleep at about 9 pm and then waking him about around 11 pm to feed and diaper him one more time. He was still able to sleep all the way till 6 am after that.
Yesterday we tried something new. We fed him at 8:30 pm with a big bottle, which took him 30 min to finish. Then we put him down to sleep and “yeah” he actually slept all the way till 6:30 am! This was the first night that he actually slept all night long!
Now, we also need to mention that he has been sleeping a lot during the day too. He only wakes up for food, a fresh diaper and a few minutes of entertainment and then he’s ready for another nap. But we noticed he is growing so that must be why he’s sleeping a lot. I guess we should enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts.
Happy Easter! – Frohe Ostern!
We had a great Easter and the easter bunny brought a lot of things for Luka – thank you!

At the OMSI
Right before I went back to work, we went to the OMSI for the Da Vinci exhibit. – Nadine

4-month Dr Appointment
Luka is turning 4 month on next Thursday, so it was time for his regular doctor appointment.
Here are his latest “states”:
Weight: 14.6 lbs (6622 gram)
Height: 25.2 in (64 cm)
He also got another set of shots and did really well.
The doctor said that he is a very healthy little boy and that he is going to be able to start eating rice cereal within the next two month.
Here are also some pictures we took over the last few weeks. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Luka can’t have green beer yet, but he still enjoyed his first St. Patrick’s day:

Hanging Out
Luka likes just hanging out in the mornings.

He really likes his jungle and gets to play in it every day.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Luka celebrated his first Valentine’s day at grammy and papa’s house.Grammy got him some new pj’s for Valentine’s day – yeah! They are still a little big, but he will be able to wear them soon.
Mommy and daddy celebrated Valentine’s day with Luka on Sunday with a candle light dinner. He loved the candle light – does that mean he will be a fire fighter? Or that he will love to play with fire and cause mommy and daddy a lot of grief? We will see.
Here are some pics in his little Valentine’s outfit.
